ZoukAfrobeat

Our Story

More Than a Playlist. A World You Can Enter.

ZoukAfrobeat is an independent home for Haitian rhythm, Caribbean romance and modern Afro-diasporic culture — a sound, a look and a community that belong together.

Why We Exist

Built for the feeling, not the format

ZoukAfrobeat exists because Haitian and Afro-Caribbean music deserves to be presented with the care it carries. So much of this music lives in moments — a slow dance, a long drive, a room full of family — and we wanted a place that honoured the whole experience, not just the track.

Rhythm and romance are inseparable here. Haitian Kompa and Gouyad give the brand its pulse: steady, warm and made for movement between two people. Around that sound we build a visual world, because how the music looks and feels shapes how deeply you enter it.

We serve the wider diaspora — in Haiti, across the Caribbean, and in the cities where that culture keeps growing. And we let merchandise extend the music, so the feeling of a late-night mix can become something you wear, hang on a wall, or carry through your week.

What We Stand On

Four pillars

Love

The emotional centre. Music that holds tenderness, intimacy and connection without apology.

Rhythm

Haitian Kompa and Gouyad at the core — the pulse that turns listening into movement.

Culture

Afro-Caribbean identity treated with depth and respect, never as decoration.

Movement

From partner dance to the slow turn at home — the body’s answer to the sound.

Our Commitment

Culture, handled with care

Representation matters to us. We work to present Haitian and Afro-Caribbean culture with respect — centring its influence, its creativity and its modern voice rather than flattening it into a stereotype.

How It Grows

The evolution

01

The Sound

It begins with the music — curating and creating Kompa, Gouyad and Zouk Love mixes for the moments they belong to.

02

The Visual World

A look takes shape: warm dark tones, champagne gold and editorial restraint that match how the music feels.

03

The Community

Listeners across the diaspora gather around the sound — the After Dark List and YouTube become a shared room.

04

The Wearable Archive

The feeling moves off-screen into merchandise — collections you can wear, hang and keep.

What Guides Us

Our values

Cultural respect
We treat heritage as something to honour, not borrow.
Emotional honesty
We make music and copy that feel true, never inflated.
Original presentation
We build our own visual language instead of copying trends.
Listener connection
The audience is a community, not an analytics figure.
Independent ownership
We grow on our own terms, at our own pace.
Consistent quality
Every mix, image and piece should feel considered.

A song is a place you return to. A step you remember. A person you danced with. We build the world that holds all three.

Love. Rhythm. Culture.
